The mission

Market leader in healthcare, life science and performance materials, the Merck Group supplies companies, researchers and innovators around the world with materials and technologies. As one of the oldest science and technology companies, the Merck Group is keen to position itself more strongly in the field of online marketing, especially in the B2B area.

With approximately 50,000 employees in 66 countries, the company is looking for a new way to train their global employees in the areas of SEO, SEA, mobile marketing or social media marketing –  to show them the importance and versatility of online marketing.

The conception

As video marketing specialists, we focus on what we do best: media and target group-oriented videos. For the Merck Group, the team of the dot-gruppe produces e-learning videos that appeal to those who do not yet have any knowledge of online marketing, but also provide practical tips for Merck employees who already had access to the topic.

Divided into 12 subject areas, a separate training video of about 2-3 minutes was produced for each lesson. Our editors write the texts – emotionally, informatively and adapted to the pharmaceutical-chemical B2B environment of the Merck Group – and develop together with our production management a comprehensive storyboard.

At the same time, the dot-gruppe is responsible for casting the perfect spokesman as well as the studio for the shooting and the development of the set design. And the CEO of the dot-gruppe personally takes over the direction and production of the videos.
